Since then, it has not ceased to be republished, translated and read.
It is a classic of children’s and young adult literature.

Willy Wonka and the Oompa-Loompa
Two films have been made based on Dahl’s text.
The more lighthearted and bouncy is the classic 1971 version, “A World of Fantasy,” starring Gene Wilder. The most sinister and visionary is 2005 ‘ s “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,” directed by Tim Burton, with Johnny Depp in the title role .
The novel tells the story of a poor 11-year-old boy, Charlie, who is lucky enough to find a Gift Voucher in a chocolate bar.
The prize is one of the 5 Golden Tickets that the eccentric chocolatier Willy Wonka has just put into circulation to celebrate the reopening of his candy factory.
The 5 children who find the 5 Golden Tickets are invited to the opening.
At the factory, they discover a magical universe full of strange characters, such as the Oompa-Loompa, the Oompa-Loompa, small, singing and grumpy operators.
