Extraescolares de Arte contemporáneo para niñ@s

The Superpowers of Art defend the power of art as a tool for training and personal development of children, which stimulates creativity, imagination, the culture of effort and self-esteem.

We organize extracurricular activities, workshops, exhibitions and cultural activities to awaken the artistic sensibility of the children.

Extracurricular activities, workshops and guided tours.

At El club de Los Superpoderes del Arte we offer a fun and original way to enhance your child’ s creativity .

Our classes are taught by artists.
They are dynamic and entertaining and in them the children learn the techniques of the great masters of contemporary art: we work from Bauhaus to graffiti, art brut or cubism; from Kandisnky to Munch, Klee, Calder, Brossa, Picasso or Keith Haring, reaching the current art trying to compare techniques, currents and artistic trends.

We are a team of contemporary art and creative education enthusiasts.
We believe that artists have Superpowers and create artworks capable of transforming the world.

We like Art and we like children, but what we like the most is when Art and children meet.

The small collector

We select the work of established artists but we always take into account the work of artists who are just starting out. Martha Zimmermann makes a careful selection always thinking that this piece will become something special and that it will become something that the child will always want to keep.
Only those works that have super powers will end up on the walls of our little collectors!

Each work is accompanied accompanied by a certificate of authenticity in which, in addition to certifying the data of the work, we include the name and surname of the child, thus making him/her the owner of the work of art that is inaugurated or added to his/her collection.

Martha Zimmermann:Co-Founder of Plom Gallery & The Superpowers of Art

Born in Barcelona in the spring of 1971, in the heart of Barcelona’s Eixample district.
Daughter of a modern Tuset Street addict with Lleidatan roots and a German of Prussian origin who was dazzled by the beauty and modernity that breathed the city of Barcelona.

At the age of 4, he was lucky enough to make the Montserrat School, at the foot of Vallvidrera, his second home.
She soon combined her studies with her first job in the centenary bookstore “Viuda de Roquer”.
There she grew up surrounded by culture.
Her studies at EMAV (Escuela Superior de Imagen, Sonido, Cine y Audiovisuales) and in writing and photography, open and prepare her mind.

For 5 years he directs Bravo Factory, the first agency for illustrators in Spain.
Thus, he gets in touch with the art scene and develops projects with a commercial and editorial approach.
Later, he decides to focus on promoting the career of painter and illustrator Sergio Mora.
He consolidates his facet as an artistic agent organizing exhibitions at national and international level.

The birth of her son Nicolás, in 2011, gives a turn to her life.
After two years dedicated to him, she decided to open the art gallery Plom Gallery, a space dedicated to the sale of artists’ work with the intention of raising awareness and teaching children to enjoy art.

After 6 years of intense work from Seneca Street in Barcelona, in 2019 decides to give a twist to the project and reinvent the relationship with children and art.
Together with Soon in Tokyo, the agency in charge of the communication strategy, they present the project of La Casita de los Superpoderes del Arte in Sarrià.

The pandemic in 2020 brings as a consequence the closure of La Casita de Los Superpoderes but not the cessation of the activity.
Thanks to the online format, the art classes continue for children and their families and are still the main activity, combined with face-to-face classes for small groups, workshops with artists, visits to the Fundació Miró in Barcelona, birthday parties and all those proposals that come and encourage art education for children.
