Today we are going to talk about the art and design collection“Espressionismo Floreale” by the Mallorcan artist Laura Niubó. But first we will discover, for those who don’t know her yet, who she is, so catch your breath because this girl has done it all. Ready, set, go!
We said Mallorcan, yes, Laura was born in Mallorca, but she has traveled the world, literally and metaphorically, internally and externally, since she left the island at the age of eighteen. The first stop was Barcelona, where she studied Advertising and PR at the Autonomous University, and Graphic Design in La Massana.
In 2010 he changed the Barcelona sky for the London sky and worked as a freelance. From here he ended up in Paris where he had the opportunity to work at Ogilvy and Mather, one of the best known advertising agencies, collaborating with brands such as Louis Vuitton. The next stop? A contract with Media Arts Lab, an agency that works exclusively with Apple, which took her to L.A. And there she continues, combining national and international projects as a freelancer and design director for brands like Google. She also has ad campaigns like Pixel 4 and pop-up experiences at Coachella alongside Childish Gambino, among others.

His graphic art works are born from his inner need to express himself through color, transmitting energy and aesthetic sensibility. His works have been exhibited in galleries, events and billboards around the world, filling with energy every person and space where they are found.
Laura’s goal is to improve the relationship we have with each other and with the world through color, being this the basis of her work and treating it as a channel to vibrate in tune with positive feelings. It is under this concept that she created her own brand of graphic art and design products, Niubó. Among his products we find graphic art pieces, carpets and designer lamps, always produced with the highest quality.

“Espressionismo Floreale”
The central theme is based on the concept of the rebirth of life, through careful geometric forms Laura abstractly represents the natural reproduction of flowers. Each work and its name are equivalent to a reproductive part of the flower.
It was precisely a vital moment that inspired the concept of this collection, in January 2020, after giving birth to her daughter Mia, Laura felt the need to set aside the frenetic pace of Los Angeles and stop to honor life. Other circumstances and the accumulation of experiences in her professional career had also led her to the conclusion that nature and the human body should be elevated as ambassadors of creation.
Once decided, Laura got down to work and, fusing an abstract point of view with a pop perspective, she made her commemoration of Mother Nature. commemoration of Mother NatureThen , along came the pandemic. This made her desire to convey positive feelings to her audience even stronger. What better time to fill everything with color and focus on the things in life that deserve to be celebrated? That was the moment. And this is Laura’s art and her work, brave, direct, determined, vibrant, positive, passionate, full of love, just like her.
