About the artist…Maximiliano Luchini, born in the city of La Plata, Argentina, has been professionally dedicated to drawing since 1990, when he began to publish his work in different magazines, such as Letras Libres, Tatano, Billiken, Clarín, Playboy and Rifi-Rafe.
He also collaborates for the prestigious French publishing house Milan Presse in magazines such as Toupi, Manon or Tobbogan. As he confesses in one of his blogs, he likes to “draw a lot: comics, stories, chairs, tables, walls…”.
In his facet as a comic author, his comic strip Federico was published in the international black and white compilation Comix 2000, while the one entitled Mauricio appeared in the Belgian magazine Spirou. He has also designed Swatch watches for the fall-winter 2000 and spring-summer 2002 collections.
Together with illustrator Edgardo Carosia, better known as Ed, he directs the Mamut collection of comics for children. In 2006 he won the Alija Award for best illustration and best graphic design from the Asociación de Literatura Infantil y Juvenil de Argentina for the work ¿Qué crees tú que puedes hacer en mi circo?
