About the work and its artist… Olivia Mandle wishes and fights for a better planet: a planet earth that she now draws in “black” because of the environmental crisis. The meaning of the letters: With the letter “S” of this piece starting the word, Olivia wanted to represent the strength of a simple shell, a strong and incredibly adaptive yet subtle living being.
The “E” for “Earth”.
Green and Blue, a curious combination, symbol of nature in its purest state.
The “A” for “animals”.
The gray color with which the animals are painted signifies the uncertain future they are living.

The black color of the letters:

Inspired by the current situation of the planet, in the problems we are already suffering from Climate Change.
The black color also means the lack of reflection, even in the face of a pandemic, without understanding that what we are really experiencing is an environmental crisis.

And in turn, the black color shows the great power, the strength of the elements to which the words of the series are referring.
