Plom invites you to discover some of the Christmas Gifts 2018 that you can find in our online shop and in our physical gallery.
From today until next January 6, 2019, we will be publishing lists of products selected by themes, sensibilities, utilities and styles.
Here goes the first list of wonders.

The girls and guys who work at or for Plom Gallery love Christmas.
Why is that?
Among other things, because we love Christmas presents.
Giving gifts and being given gifts.
But not just any gifts, no.
The gifts that we most like to give and that we most like to receive are those that have something special.
Christmas gifts that are educational, original, unique, inspired, creative, decorative, surprising, weird and beautiful.
And if possible, with Superpowers.
Superpowers of Art!

Educational Gift: Kallewupp

It is a 200-piece puzzle of different shapes and different patterns.
It is also a 3-dimensional construction game that grows and grows driven by the imagination of the players. Kallewupp, designed by Keppler + Fremer GmbH for Remember, is one of the educational toys that has hooked us the most in recent weeks.
One feels like an architect, sculptor, graphic designer and even a juggler trying to fit pieces together.
Recommended for children of any age, from 3 years and up.

Original Gift #1: “5 O’Dog” by Susie Hammer

“5 O’Dog” is an acrylic on canvas painting by Susie Hammer, one of our most beloved artists (and friends).
It is an original, unique work, and is signed by its author, as is normal in these cases.
Giving an original work as a gift is a very meaningful gesture.
An original work is something more yours (or the recipient’s) than a serial work that has been reproduced and multiplied dozens, hundreds, thousands of times.

Creative Gift: Magic Rainbow

This kit of 12 sheets of magic paper with a rainbow crayon has left us with our eyes wide open.
It is a product of the store Rex London that is unlike anything else on the market right now.
Highly recommended for children eager to discover the world with all the artistic tools you put in their hands.
In this case, thanks to Magic Rainbow, they will be able to discover the pleasure of scratching, a technique related to lithography and engraving.

Original Gift #2: “Cervatillo” by Candela Ferrández

We are in love with this little thing.
It is one of the exclusive pieces that you can order from the illustrator, graphic designer and sculptor ceramist Candela Ferrandez.“Cervatillo” is an original model.
Each commission will be a unique piece.
Modeled, painted and glazed by hand by the author.

Decorative Gift: “Up with bangs” by Pintachán

All the posters and all the limited series of Pintachán that we have in the gallery fill us with joy.
They are illustrations that make us smile, imagine, fantasize.
They are engines of jumping ideas.
Genuine mental tickles. “Up with the fringe” is a digital print with offset lithography technique on 300 grams paper.
It is designed to turn any room into a party.

Unique Gift: Plom 5th Anniversary Posters

You won’t be able to find this anywhere else.
Only here.
This is the second collection of Plom Gallery’s Exclusive Posters: 4 unique pieces with which we celebrate our fifth anniversary.
The poster “Clock Dog” is a reproduction of a work by Susie Hammer.Frida” is a limited series of one of Brianda Fitz-James Stuart ‘s illustrations included in the book “The Superpowers of Art”, published by Mosquito Books.Dogs” is a reproduction of a beautiful print drawn by Candela Ferrández . The poster “The Moon” is an abstract and visionary piece signed by the young artist based in Los Angeles, Laura Niubó.

Inspirational Gift: The Superpowers of Art

It couldn’t be any other way.
This is our favorite little guy.
Our newborn baby.
With “The Superpowers of Art” we are making our debut as publishers of illustrated books.
And all thanks to our partners in this adventure, the publishing house Mosquito Books, and the combined talent of Brianda Fitz-James Stuart (illustrator) and Pedro Calleja (author of the texts).
This book is a messy journey through the History of Art.
The reader will accompany 2 authentic Supervillains on an unpredictable itinerary with stops at the homes and workshops of Leonardo Da Vinci, Frida Kahlo, Vincent van Vogh, John Everett Millais, Henri Matisse, Edvard Munch, Francisco de Goya and other artists.
There is action, humor, information about artists and masterpieces, many real anecdotes and unsolved mysteries.
A book to read backwards and forwards.
