Paul Anton (Pamplona 1987) and Bea Aiguabella (Zaragoza 1989) are a personal and professional couple.
They are both architects and met in their third year of their degree while studying at the University of Navarra.
After finishing their studies they both moved to London where they spent five years working for firms such as Perkins+Will, in Bea’s case, and Foster+Partners (Paul).
During these years they learned to work as a team, something that undoubtedly helps them to do it together now, in the same space.

Both have always been attracted to and interested in art, but it was Paul who first started experimenting when they were still living in London.
Bea started helping him.
As they both progressed in their respective creative endeavors they decided to photograph their work and share their work and in a short time they got the public’s attention.
When they saw that the income from selling their pieces was higher than the income they received from their respective jobs, they decided to leave London and move to Madrid, first in a small but central studio in the Malasaña neighborhood, and now they are installed in a larger place where each one has their own space to develop their work.

Both share the same minimalist aesthetic, calm, neutral tones; very aesthetic works that convey peace and tranquility and that work very well in domestic spaces (although they are not works that are intended precisely to “decorate”). Both are inspired by architectural forms, music, travel, the work of other artists and even the inspiration that can give us the RR.SS.
As much as they can, they prefer to sell their work themselves, although they have collaborated with different art galleries.
They like dealing with people and bringing art closer to people is something they are good at.

Bea is a painter and her works are based on the concept of repetition and abundance, inspired by e Bea is a painter.
With her pieces she aims to highlight and rescue values present in Japanese culture, such as craftsmanship, patience, ritual, repetition, sequence, restful rhythm, and the calm play of small variations.
“My goal is to generate interest in the act of observing elements that are apparently repeated but absolutely unique if we look closely and capture their individuality.

Paul works with different materials to create solid sculptures in wood or plaster, or lighter pieces that he creates on paper from layers with colored dots, and that are intended to hang on the wall: “I am interested in creating something that is on the wall, but that is neither painting nor sculpture”.
His aesthetics and lines are very reminiscent of architecture, and his references are to artists such as Oteiza when he works with volume.

In addition to creating their pieces, they also share their love for stationery illustration.
It all started with the creation of their own wedding invitations.
They were so successful that friends and acquaintances began to commission them.
Through their other studio BPAUL they have collaborated with brands such as Zara, Shiseido, Loewe, Chaumet and Tiffany & Co, creating event invitations, packaging, patterns, etc.
They are realistic drawings and represent bouquets, fruits, stems, leaves, wildflowers, animals, landscapes…
All with a very careful aesthetic and craftsmanship.
